Captain Tyler Driskill Recording:

Captains log star date 52457, where do I even begin? We keep losing people, whether it be by an accident or this changeling that's aboard the Concord. Lieutenant Kaelyn Carter was a brilliant science officer and a valued member of my senior staff, she will be missed. I'm sad to report that she was murdered in a gruesome manner and there have also been attempts on several others including myself. Yet the assailant remains at large aboard this very ship. A changeling is hard to catch but there have been precautions set in place and we are starting blood testing for everyone on this ship.

We've hopefully made allies in a race we encountered known as the Kobali. The Concord answered a distress signal and rescued as many of their people as possible before the ship was lost. It is hard to report we lost yet another member of our crew along with eleven members of the Kobali crew. I've met with their Captain and the Concord is scheduled to rendezvous with one of their vessels in about sixteen hours. So far relations with the Kobali we have aboard the Concord are going well from my observations and interactions.

Joseph Sledge resigned his position of Executive Officer after an incident on an away mission. Please review Lieutenant Commander Sledges log for the official details. However he has stepped into the role of Chief Operations Officer and my second officer. I've made mission advisor, Gulati my First Officer and given her the provisional rank of Lieutenant Commander after a meeting with miss Gulati.

It's usually a joyful occasion when an officer is promoted, but in the Concord situation, people are going to be promoted when people are lost. It's been my please to work with Lieutenant Junior Grade Rehman and he has big shoes to fill as he has been promoted to fill our science department lead position and promoted to Lieutenant. He seemed like he was ready to take on the role and has been a valuable member of the crew on this journey so far.

Mister Rehman and Miss Gulati have both been instrumental in chasing down this changeling that has plagued the Concord. We believe it is responsible for the damage done to our experimental drive and the reason the Concord crash landed in the Delta Quadrant, so to speak. We have increased the presence of security in vital area and under the advisement of Lieutenant Commander Gulati no one should venture outside their quarters alone and we will be initiating blood screenings. We will find this changeling, I just hope it's before it can cause any more damage or take another life.

END CAPTAINS LOG
